Director of the Voltaire Institute & General, Business and Specific French Teacher

Audience: adults and young adults at all levels

Director of the Voltaire Institute, I have been teaching French language for foreigners for several years, after completing a few language and cultural trips outside the Caillou. Having a professional background in the banking sector and the environmental field, it is naturally that I specialized in specific and business French.

Caledonian and holder of a Master FLE / FLS / FOS in school and entrepreneurial environments, with honours, and a DAEFLE FOS, what I love above all are the transmission and the sharing of knowledge with my learners, especially the registers of language and variations of French. It is an exciting profession where you learn respect and tolerance towards other cultures.

General French and English Teacher

Audience: adults and children beginner to pre-intermediate level

After studying languages (English, Spanish, French) in France as well as designing and facilitating intercultural projects, I had the chance to work in New Zealand for two years and then in Canada for a year, before moving to New Caledonia.

Having started teaching in a nursery school in a small section class, I then chose to specialize in teaching languages: French and English for children. Passionate about languages and pedagogy, I like to meet, discover, make discover, exchange, share, but above all enrich myself with intercultural and human experiences. Today, my job at the Voltaire Institute allows me to learn every day, not only about the world around us but also about our own culture.

Retired from public education since 2003, I have been a teacher at the Voltaire Institute since 2014, after having had the opportunity to teach French as a foreign language on site, in various French school or cultural centers.

I appreciate contact with people in general, exchanges and sharing cultures. That's why I’m passionate about this activity every day. When I have some free time, I like to enjoy the richness of the Caledonian nature, spend time with family and friends, play golf ...

It is because I love the French language that I naturally turned to teaching.

After studying at the Ecole Normale de Noumea (ENEP) and then at the Sorbonne in Paris, I was able to exercise this exciting activity. Today I am a teacher of French for adult and child at the Voltaire Institute, I particularly like grammar, which in my opinion becomes a police investigation when I have to break down a sentence!

After several years also spent in the United States, I also count the English language to my credit.

Arriving in the beautiful country of New Caledonia, after a cruise by boat with my children who are taking distance courses, I am teaching there today since 2011.

That is how I discovered my passion for teaching and chose to make it my new job ever since. Teacher of French and English at the Voltaire Institute, I give courses to adults and children, personalizing them according to the needs of my learners. Having been raised in both languages since my birth and being part of both cultures, I am totally bilingual.

Born in New Caledonia, I am now a teacher of French at the Voltaire Institute, after having several occasions the opportunity to go abroad, both for cultural trips and for language laboratories. After obtaining my baccalaureate, I had the chance to participate in the European Voluntary Service (EVS) in Romania as a French language assistant in primary schools, colleges and high schools.

Holder of a Bachelor of English specialty French language for foreigner, I speak fluently English and Romanian and can understand and express myself Japanese. My desire to continue to share and discover new languages and cultures is growing.

Originally from the south of France, I moved to New Caledonia in 2016, simply because of its dreamlike landscapes, the generosity of its population and its culture so close to nature. Having my own Spanish origins, I grew up in this linguistic duality that has brought me so much and was not easy every day!

It is therefore quite natural that I went on a linguistic course by obtaining a Master of Art, Letters and Languages, with honours, before specializing in French language for foreigners, which seemed to me to be a totally made way for me, what my experience at the Voltaire Institute has confirmed. Whole and very sensitive, I appreciate life, I have at heart to help my neighbor, in the humblest way possible, I like listening to others and feeling useful to them.
